“Unearthing the Cardiff Giant”
Come one, come all to watch as the Cardiff Giant replica is “unearthed in Lipe Art Park on Syracuse’s Near Westside! The Giant will remain on display, daily, from 10am – 6pm through October 23rd. We are also pleased to present “Diamond Someday” (11am)Bluegrass band and “Uncle Joe and the Rosebud Ramblers“(1:00pm) as our musical entertainment!

Film Screening of “David Harum” (1934)
with host Nancy Keefe Rhodes
Homer’s David Hannum was a key investor in the Cardiff Giant hoax, and his exploits were recorded in Edward Noyes Westcott’s best-selling novel David Harum (1898). A free screening of the film David Harum (1934), starring Will Rogers will take place at Onondaga Historical Association Museum. Arts writer Nancy Keefe Rhodes will introduce the film and speak about its relation to Westcott’s book.
